About Us

Stripers Grille & Inn are owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Steven and Lisa Kuchar. They have been the proud owners of Stripers Grille Restaurant since 1997 and added the inn in 2000 to complete the package.

Stripers Grille Restaurant is located on the second floor serving Lunch and Dinner 7 days a week. The restaurant overlooks the Newburyport Harbor and Merrimack River with great views from all dining areas. The bar and lounge area has 7 flat screen, high definition televisions and the full menu is always available. There are three deck dining areas all with incredible views of the Newburyport Skyline.

The Inn at Stripers Grille has three complete one bedroom suites, perfect for families, extended stay business travelers or just for that perfect get away for two. Our other room accommodations are rooms with queen size beds, some with pullout sofas or rooms with 2 double beds.

All of the rooms include the following amenities: Private Entrance, Private Baths, In Room Coffee Makers with complimentary coffee, Refrigerators, Cable Television, Air Conditioning, In Room Phone with data port, voice mail and programmable wake up calls.

Currently Stripers Grille & Inn are undergoing the last phase of a renovation project that began in 2007. The first phase included demolition and redesign of the kitchen from top to bottom, a new salad bar area, new office space, new bathrooms and some work in the bar area. The last phase includes the installation of an elevator, outfitting the entire building with a sprinkler system and redesigning the entryway and new main staircase. We are also adding new windows in the bar, a small smoking/cocktail deck off the back of the bar and we have opened the bar area into the new upstairs foyer for the addition of an Oyster Bar. We have also added a new private dining room for smaller parties or business groups. We will remain open during this project and are excited that in a few short weeks it will be completed.
